Running out of steps

Him: "How can we look through the big windows now?"

Her: "You'll have to put some step ladders up."

Taken at Rivington. I am told that this is a scale model of the demolished, ruined Liverpool Castle but I am not sure that that makes sense. It must be a model of the ruins before they were demolished; otherwise there wouldn't be anything in either location - or is it me.
