Hmmmm

Annoying when you get up into the park, your tripod's set up to accommodate for the 45 degree slope you're standing sideways on in a gale, you get your gloves off and find out that your 50mm prime and your camera aren't speaking to each other anymore. You take a few photos knowing full well that they're not going to capture the sheer speed and coolness with which the clouds are travelling overhead, then get spooked by the giant mass of vertical rock to your right and the weird echoes it's producing and decide to go home.

Then discover the reason the lens wasn't talking was that at some point prior to tonight you've inadvertently turned off the entire custom menu, including the setting to support manual lenses.
