Mersey Tunnel

This was taken on our way over to visit my friend again today. He wasn't attached to any tubes, drains or drips. It was great to see him walking about freely and he'd been moved into his own little room which is the way they do things there.

It looks like he may be coming home as early as tomorrow but he still has to have an x ray and be tested on the stairs and I don't know if they will do that and discharge him on the same day.

We can only collect him tomorrow or Friday. If the hospital want the bed they'll have to arrange transport on Thursday.

He's going to need a district nurse visiting to check on him and eventually remove his stitches and social services could be setting up a home from hospital package but I don't know what that involves.

The workmen came this afternoon to put the tile back on the roof that blew down on 3rd January in the storms.
