the final photograph

a week or so ago, my beloved nikon d60 suffered a bit of an issue... giving me an error message in the middle of an event i was shooting (thankfully just as a volunteer, not for money - or i would have felt much worse!). after a long chat with the guy in my favorite camera store... i decided it wasn't worth paying to have fixed (the price was rather high), and today set to work attempting to fix it with the help of a friend.

this photograph was taken with the camera partially taken apart, as we figured out how to get it to function for one shot at a time... before it went straight back to the same issue.

so i bid farewell to my first serious camera, which travelled with me to multiple continents. had the great opportunity to enter the residence of his holiness the dalai lama. been by my side through so many wonderful memories.

and i look forward to the new d90 body i just ordered to come in the mail!
