Poignancy

I hadn't planned it this way, but today was the appropriate day to be in Napier - surrounded by a vibrant city that has grown out of rubble.

Today, more than any day, the reminder was timely. My city has moved on but still has far to go.

All my friends down in Chch, I am away from home in body but close to you all in my thoughts. In so many ways I wish I'd been at home today to have quiet time together with the people I shared last February 22nd with.
