Homespun Charms

A-Mary-Llis (indulge me!)

I wanted my blipping daughter to see the stage my plant has reached. Her amaryllis peaked last week and the spectacular flowers are now finished. This is year 3 for my bulb, it has taken it's time to reach this stage but the bud is now beginning to open. Hopefully a fully fledged flower will appear on a future blip very soon.
A grey, wet morning and consequently a very quiet time in the Oxfam shop on my morning shift. There was a brief but welcome ray of sunshine around mid-day which helped the day along considerably.
Felt in the mood to sit and work on my tapestry this afternoon. I haven't done any for ages and when I look at it I can't imagine it ever being finished as it is very 'fiddly' - but I will get there! It was very relaxing and I thought how nice it was to sit down during the day for a change. Yesterday's comments suggest that the sun and warmer weather is on it's way which means opportunities for garden activity and little time for sitting in the afternoon!
