Poblenou Beach (Barcelona) II

Ch was determined to put her toes in the Mediterranean again today, saying it was her favourite thing to do at the beach and insisting that it wasn't cold at all.

Today was our last full day in Barcelona. We walked around the oldest part of town this morning and saw the 13 white geese kept in honour of Saint Eulalia in the cloisers of the cathedral. The cathedral itself is spectacular. We had another nice lunch outside on the Rambla de Catalunya and then visited the Palau della Musica, a gorgeous modernist concert hall full of symbols of Catalan nationalism. After that, we got groceries for dinner and stayed at the beach until the sun set.

We really could have used at least another couple of days here. It's sad to leave places you enjoy and not know if you'll ever make it back.
