Elkie

We went to the City Varieties tonight to see Elkie Brooks. I booked the box months ago; the nearest to the stage. However, as you can see from the blip, a speaker stack severely restricted the view. Never mind, we still had a great time and to say Elkie is in her 66th year, well you just can't tell from her voice.

This is 5th or 6th time I've seen her and I always enjoy her performance. Style wise she doesn't really fit in with the rest of my musical tastes; as eclectic as they are. If that makes sense.

Looking forward to seeing Nick Lowe on Friday now.
