Bye Bye Indoor Soccer

crazy busy wednesday as usual. grandma's hair appt. minimum day. violin for liam. kidz jam. awana. youth group. final championship indoor soccer game for liam. final championship indoor soccer game for loren.

Tonight Loren's team ended up playing in the championship game against who....their OWN team! Yes, during indoor winter season the Thunderbirds had to split in two since there's only 7 from each team allowed out on the arena/field. Thunderbirds White vs. Thunderbirds Blue. It was funny that both halves of our team ended up in the final game. Loren ended up on the Thunderbirds White and they were beat by one goal tonight and ended up in second place. It was intense and tied until the last 2 minutes when the extra goal from the Blue was scored. Regardless of the loss, it was fun to watch our own team/family pitted against each other. :) Either way, the Thunderbirds won.

Liam's team (the Sharks) made it to the Championship game as well and were pitted against an older team that was a competitive team (Liam's team is recreational). So it was not quite an equal match-up. We ended up losing the game and Liam sure took it hard. As the goalie, he feels like he bears the weight of the outcome of the game on his shoulders. I explained over and over again that the ball still had to get past every player on his team before it got to him and that it is a TEAM sport, but he still took it hard. They had an incredible season to make it to the last two teams in the end. This season was our first experience with indoor soccer and it sure is a different game than outdoor. I'd have to say...my favorite is outdoor. These 8 and 8:30 weeknight games have been difficult on the family so we will enjoy the break from them.

I JUST HAD TO THROW IN THIS PIC OF LANDON...HE CALLS THIS HIS PUPPY DOG (BEGGING) FACE. HE PULLED OUT THIS FACE TONIGHT WHEN BEGGING FOR SOMETHING FROM THE SNACK BAR DURING THE INDOOR GAMES.
