Unused

Rough day, first full day of jury duty. I probably won't be around much till the weekend as I have no real internet access while at the courthouse, so no chance really to comment or return comments. I could do it now, but I need a hot soak and a drink. The wind was blowing 20-25 mph today, and after I got off the bus I had 6 blocks uphill to walk to get there straight into the wind. I was exhausted before I even got to the courthouse. Then after 2 straight hours of loud miked lecturing by the administrator (those of you that know me off of here will know that I was fighting a full fledged meltdown from being assaulted with sound) I had 3 hours "off" before I was to report to a courtroom. I went outside, immediately was almost in the middle of a homeless gang fight...the area that the court is in is a bad part of town...had some quiet down time in a cafe, then 3 more hours in a courtroom being grilled about my working in the prosecutor's office and if I'm capable of being objective if I were to sit as a juror in this particular case. Between the wind, cold, noise...I'm done. I get to go back tomorrow to do it all over again. It almost makes me wish I was just at work.

This is what looks like might have been a nice water feature at one time at the transit center area downtown, but has been allowed to become a dead, abandoned, garbage dumping area. Still visually interesting, nonetheless.
