COULDN'T SLEEP...

Over indulgence last night is taking its toll. Crisps, chocolate and a McLelland OTR half an hour before bedtime was not one of my better ideas though it seemed good at the time. I woke up at 3am. The wind was rattling something outside. It wasn't very loud but once I heard it it annoyed me. Actually it irritated the wot not out of me. I lay for half an hour listening to the noise and then just had to get up to check it out. The culprit is a loose glass in an outside light and the constant tap-tap-tap is bl**dy tortuous. I've never noticed it before, now I'll always be aware of it. Aaaarghhhh!!!!!!!

Tomorrow it'll have to be fixed, if not by skill and craft, with a big hammer. It's 0435 now, I'm wide awake. Mrs B is fast asleep. It's not fair. I may have to wake her up to tell her about my awful insomnia. Or should I let sleeping dogs lie? Hmmm....
