Flying Physalis

Emergency blip today, luckily had some fruit in my room! Went to a talk on "the arts out of London", which was essentially about ways to get your work seen if you're not in the capital. It had a lot of good ideas, and enthusiasm, but there was also reiteration of the mantra "it's not what you know...". It saddens me that someone could write even the most beautiful, hilarious, or groundbreaking book on Earth, and fail to get it published through lack of an agent. A fact of life I guess, but not a pleasant one.
