Ladybird

John Wilson born in Edinburgh on Christmas Day 1800. He died at Qubec on the 9th July 1849 where he lies to this day.
Walking through a cemetery there there were many fine stone sculptures but the green of the oxidising copper bust of Mr Wilson stood out.
I like the contrast in texture between the sandstone and the copper bust. He appears to have been cast into the stone with only his upper half showing.
