Mum's 91st birthday

Took Mum out here for tea for her birthday. Tea was lovely but Mum couldn't eat a lot, so (because I'd heard a programme about waste and hotels on Radio 4) I asked if we could take the scones etc we hadn't eaten home. "No" came the reply. Something to do with health and safety, so they would rather throw out perfectly good food! A letter is in the offing....

She had a good day all the same.
