Well, the mud pictures may follow but here's my medal.

All true. Not sure I've done a race quite so tough as that. SO much mud, it was hard to get a flow or rhythm going. Especially on the bike. I say bike. I mean 'push your bike through a lot of mud' bike!

My hands stopped working in the last transition too - from the bike to the run. Wasted 10 minutes there trying to change my shoes. And I mean my shoes (!).

But the people I raced with were great fun. Fab spirit and camaraderie. And I only stopped smiling once at the last hill on the bike, when I turned a corner and thought that bit was neRly finished. "Race designer is evil!" were my thoughts!

I might even do it again and settle a score with my shoes next year... Anyone else fancy it!!? ;)
