FORCE 10 FROM BARRA

I love home made cards. They spell out the love in blobs of glue and squint corners. I have a friend who always makes her own. It often means the Christmas cards arrive at Easter, but you appreciate them more then.

Here is her 2012 New Year card, made when she was stranded in Barra on 3 January. Frankly, there is not much else to do in Barra in January when the hail is coming at your horizontally, the cockleshell beach (which is also the airport) is submerged in 3 feet of Atlantic and the boat will not sail until February. I love this image, so Hedderwickesque.
