the story of Britain , a Morrisons supermarket now stands where Menzies steel foundry stood for years . I have fond memories of the social club here as my mum and dad were regulars ( my dad more so ) He would sometimes take me down when I was young and I lived sitting I the company of all the old guys and listening to their tall tales ... sadly gone now , like most of the men who I sat beside ...

This sculpture is all that is left to remind us of the foundry that once stood here and my guess is most people drive ( or walk ) past it without a second thought .
