Walking the Cat
Weather nice again today, so after lunch a brief walk down our local lane; actually it is a byway poorly maintained, full of puddles and very muddy, but there is often interesting wildlife to be seen.
Dougal often comes with us on such walks, if we will let him (we have to send him back when we cross the railway line as we are not sure that he would use the foot bridge), stopping to look at things that interest him and meowing loudly when we get too far ahead, so that we will wait until he catches up with us. He did exactly this today and the picture shows him, only a couple of hundred yards from home, examining a small branch at the edge of the lane. He accompanied us for the rest of our walk and returned home just ahead of us, meowing "come on keep up". We keep debating if he should have a lead and harness, we are fairly sure that he would not mind provided he could walk with us.
I must now find time to catch up on my studies, so after this is posted, it is nose to the grind stone, shoulder to the wheel etc., sounds most uncomfortable, but is not too bad really as I am finding it interesting.
