Morcambe

Eric Morcambe's statue on the tired seafront at Morcambe is a highlight of a day out at the seaside. Impossible not to mimic the famous stance for the camera.

Morcambe is good for cycling, nice path into Lancaster and a lovely ride back along the canal towpath, recommended.

Day was rounded off perfectly with fish and chips and a tense 1-0 home win for the shrimps, including some playful banter with the "liner", who failed to spot numerous offsides. All of which was funnier than poor Eric ever was. Sorry.
