Madeiran Mountain

So, here's the first of a series of back-blips - photos from my recent holiday on the island of Madeira. I'm starting with this one, which is among the most incredible mountains I have ever seen.

I took this photo whilst out on a coach trip to the Western side of the island. It was a blazing hot day and we stopped at a little roadside bar for drinks, and off to the side, viewable from a patio that was covered in lizards, there was a gorgeous vista of mountains. But this was the gem. I've never seen anything quite like it!
