The Wind Battered Fishermen.
Wind: Se'ly 15 to 20kt reaching 20 to 25kt at times with gusts may reach 40kt later, becoming nw'ly 17 to 22kt tonight. Well that explains everything! The wind is howling off the sea onto our sea facing block of flats, making going outside not an option for me. Rain was even predicted and one drop did hit me in the eye when I bent out the window to take a photo, but that was probably the only one to hit earth - the rest got blown away I'm sure.
The dhows were out today even though it's windy and the coastguard boat was parked across the bay, which is unusual as it's normally on the other side of the bridge where I can't see it. I noticed, however, that every dhow that comes back from sea has to report to the coastguard boat - not sure why - maybe to report on their cargo.
These were just the local net fishermen stopping off for a chat, both drivers with their foot firmly placed behind them.
