I do not recommend this hotel, though I wish I could.

It stands in what could be beautiful grounds, overlooking the canal and with a spectacular elevated view down Loch Fyne to Aran in the distance. On a good day.

And yet it is boarded up and broken down. I suspect that when it is sufficiently neglected, a local builder will offer a knock down price, tear it down and we will have some more of the same houses as elsewhere.

There is so much character in this building, so much potential. But no little will to see it developed. As always, that is the saddest thing.
