Dragon's Den

About a year ago, the lid of our water tank fell in to the tank under the weight of cobwebs and dust. Being made of sponge wrapped in polythene, if soon saturated and drowned. That's what the official police report said, although I suspect suicide.

Wanting to fashion a replacement that bypassed the obvious design flaws of the original, I found that by joining 2 Ikea 'blimps' together, they covered the surface of the water, snuggly fitting within the recess of the rim. Water proof, they only lack the insulating properties of their predecessor. However, because by their very nature they provide storage, by putting the family sleeping bags in them, they are suddenly perfect.

Surely, those dragons will be fighting over themselves to invest in my brilliant idea. My only fear is that those Ikea lawyers will be wanting their pound of flesh...... the keen-eyed amongst you will have noticed that last sentence neatly ticking the boxes retro and Danish. God I'm on fire today, and no mistake.
