Water Vole

Another brief outing today. We went up to Redmire. It was pleasant but the cold wind meant it was not a day for lingering, and I was disappointed not to get a better crop of photos. We saw lots of thrushes and a flock of starlings and one of lapwings which seemed to be travelling and settling together across the fields. The water vole population was visible along the conduit, and as always, only required a moderate degree of stealth to allow their photos to be taken.
