Skating at the Forks

Today we went skating at the Forks with another family. The claim to fame is that it is the world's longest skating rink - not sure how long it is, but it was a good skate. Here we are at the end of the line, having a rest in a warming hut. It was actually a nice warm day and we just needed a rest more than getting warm. While we were there, Rick Mercer popped by with his camera crew and interviewed my friend. Unfortunately she didn't make the cut when they aired the show. Oh well. It was pretty neat to see him in action. Watched him and his crew trying to do donuts with the zamboni - didn't work out too well with the grippy tires.
