Great Northern Diver

A quick cycle down to Scapa pier. This diver was fairly close to the pier. On the way back along the Crantit Trail I noticed a pair of little grebes gathering nesting material. Then I thought that it might actually be the 'weed-offering' mating ritual that grebes do. Either way; it is a sign of springtime, in spite of the two Iceland gulls at the Peedie Sea..
