a little enclosure has sprung up in a corner of holyrood park dedicated to all things malaysian for this week, timed for the festival season if perhaps not strictly a part of it - the food smells great and there are kite-making and batik-print and pewter-bashing little workshops too. also, lots of snippets of dance, with some particularly lovely costumes. there's also a bloke with a blowpipe who pops balloons... i did get a funky shot of swirling dresses and dancing feet, but it's too out of focus to post :-( this isn't a bad second choice tho!
