The Tree of Life
"The Tree of Life (Shajarat-al-Hayat) in Bahrain is a 5000 year-old, 320 feet high North American mesquite tree located 2 kilometers away from land. The tree stands lonely in the heart of the desert, on top of a 25-foot-high sandy hill."
Today was a great photo hunting day for me after more than a week break from any outing, hunting and shooting! My photo buddies went to the desert last week to shoot the oil pipe lines, tents and falcons but unfortunately I could not go. This week they went again and this time I was with them. I have been to the Tree of Life few years ago when my parents came over for a visit from Bangladesh. At that time my photography was limited on friends and family. So I actually didn't have a descent photo of the tree.
This tree is a prominent icon of Bahrain. It's sitting in the middle of no where, all alone. Last time when I went it looked very tired and not so well looked after. This time around it is in a better shape. The area is fenced with barbwire and there was a watchman too!
I have uploaded the rest of the photos here, please enjoy!
