Strange Ancient Sign

In truth, it is a cartographer's mark which pinpoints the exact spot that represents the 17th Century city centre of Manchester.. As I was taking the photographs I had a brief conversation with a passing vicar.

Vicar: Should I ask?

Me: Yes. No problem.. I'm taking photographs of the true and exact centre of town..

Vicar: Ah Yes.. The centre of the Universe....


Of course it reminded me of Joy Division's Shadowplay,
