Deception

It looks a nice tranquil scene - the River Fillan at the base of Ben Challum - but reality was much different.
5 of us set out to climb the mountain, only 3 got to the top. It was showery to begin with (note the rain drops on the pic) which got more persistent higher up and the wind also got stronger and stronger. Not far from the 1st top I was getting blown backwards and decided it would be stupid to carry on as I was at great risk of being blown over, so Mr Rat and I headed back down. The others were doing a bit better and made it to the top - well done to them.
I only took 2 pics - and the other wasn't sharp!
My "waterproof" gloves ended up full of water!
