Respect

Blackpool today for The Great North West Half Marathon. A 4.5 mile warm up followed by the race itself gave me 17.6 for the day, and I'm quite pleased. Last week's run over the same distance was tough. Today it all felt much easier and I felt in control of the running instead of it controlling me.

One of the many improvements on Blackpool Promenade is the new Tower Festival Headland. In june, Elton John will be on stage in a huge open air concert on the headland.

And there is a big "Comedy Carpet" with jokes form hundreds of comedians.

I've been meaning to take a look since it was opened. So in a week when Frank Carson and Ken Goodwin both passed away, this just seemed right.

And the blip really couldn't be anything else.
