Y Ddraig Goch/The Red Dragon

This plate comes from a pottery in Porthmadog and has graced our hall for about nineteen years now, though I bought it in the Seventies, when I was on holiday in Wales with my family. Now we've adopted this country and its language, which is the oldest language in Europe, but is struggling for its survival. I wonder if there really were red dragons or dinosaurs in these parts many years ago?
