I Am The Stig!

The day has finally arrived, the day I got to be a Racing Driver even if only for a short while.

This is the car I got to drive, it's an Australian V8 Touring Car, 5.7 litres of pure grunt! After our drivers briefing (just like the real thing) we were taken out onto the track in small groups to get a feel for the circuit, then I was let loose in the Touring Car for 4 laps of Rockingham. I've done a track day before in a supercar with all the electronic driver aids to help keep the car pointing in the right direction, but this was the first time I've driven an out-and-out racing car with only me keeping it under control!

It was a real handful, all that power with rear wheel drive isn't easy to handle at all, I've got a whole new respect for the professional racing drivers after today!
