this beautiful girl was pretty much the highlight of the whole trip for me.

i met her on the first tuesday when we visited Glad Tidings Orphan Care Centre. the centre looks after children in the day and then they go to foster families in the evenings. we'd just been shown around the centre and it was pretty shocking. to be completely honest, we probably wouldn't even use it to house animals in the uk. i found it quite ovrwhelming and got a bit choked up.

we then went outside and the first thing i saw was this beautiful smiling face. she came over and held my hand and giggled away like she didn't have a care in the world. she stuck by my side the whole day, dancing and giggling and singing. i don't speak much chichewa but that didn't seem to matter.

saw her again today and it was lovely to spend some more time with her. beautiful.
