Rowan Oil Rig
We waived a fond farewell to L & L at lunchtime and now it's back to being just Hamish and me. I've had such a lazy day but H cycled to Errol and back. A motorist nearly knocked him off his bike. The car sped by so closely that H was forced into the side of the road. An elderly couple in the car behind kindly stopped to check that he was okay.
At night time, this oil rig looks quite impressive in the distance when approaching the Tay Bridge from the Newport side. My camera wasn't able to capture this for some reason and I decided to get nearer - not as easy as I'd thought as the roads leading to the docks are mostly blocked off just now. I found myself at the dead-end of a long, dark stretch of road. I must admit to being frightened to get out of the car, especially when I noticed another parked a short way off. I quickly leapt out and took this before making a hasty retreat. This is the blurred result. I've seen another blipper's shot of the same structure and I am put to shame.
