Shropshire Hills

Brown Clee (540m) and the Long Mynd (516m) from the Queen's Parlour (123m) in Bridgnorth. Out of shot, to the north, is the Wrekin.

It is one of the more charming features of the Shropshire countryside that its hills stand upright as individuals rather than hang around in ranges. Because the land is not flat, you only really notice this when you get a bit of height so that the small undulations disappear. Then each hill get sits own distinctive shape, and in a reserved, English manner, every bit as much a part of the local culture as Mount Fuji and Table Mountain are part of their local cultures.

P.S. You are almost certainly going to need to view this one large.
