Lochnagar

After a pretty depressing week of weather I was pretty psyched to get a good forecast for today, with super cold temps yesterday I thought there might be some ice to climb in either Meagaidh or Lochnagar. After some internet browsing I saw that Parallel Gully B was in, so all plans were scrapped in favour of going to do this!

After a rather late arrival at Glen Muick we bunked down in the visitor centre and slept away until alarms at 5am and the slog up into the coire. After some serious deliberation we decided to give the route a shot (it felt very serious from below) and it turned out to be amazing, the best 90m of winter climbing I've done in Scotland, by far. Totally mega classic and super psyched to get it done on a good day, in good company, and to really enjoy the whole experience! Mega!
