The Desert

I am always amazed by the stark beauty of the desert. Nothing. Lifeless. It threatens our very life. It reminds of those difficult times in my life when I feel like I'm wandering in a bleak lifeless desert. Yet, even in this difficult place, the Lord provides for me. He gives me respite from the relentless sun and heat as a tree gives us shade. Time with Him quiets my heart as cool water from a desert spring quenches my thirst. Even though the desert is so hard, it is here that He teaches me to trust Him with everything in my life. I praise You Lord for the desert!
