I'll have a go at this

still feeling poorly. . .

Am feeling really blah, dicky tummy and sore throat and mouth. So I stayed home from work to keep the virus to myself as long as possible. This was not to be! I got a message from my partner that he was hungry and would I make him something and take it to his work. I made him a most delicious cheese and salad sandwich and drove into town to deliver it. For my pains I got a cup of coffee and a kiss. Then I had to turn around and drive back home. On the way I had an inspiration, stopped at the supermarket for some supplies and then went off to the newsagent to buy a copy of Mollie Makes, none there so I visited the big Opp Shop next door. Here I found a huge crocheted blanket for $12, a nice cup for 20 cents, a cup, saucer and plat set for $1 and a piece of enamel ware for my collection for $3.50. Then I headed home to make some lunch to sooth my throat. I decided pumpkin soup would be the order of the day and corn muffins. I'd bought the muffin mix on my last trip to Melbourne where we visited USA Foods, and thought this was a good time to try it. These muffins are light and absolutely delicious. Previous experiences with cornbreads have not been so positive, this one I recommend. I served them in my new secondhand purchases. Both the look and taste have improved my spirits.
