Strong breed

Found these chicks on my way today and like their parent they look for the last breadcrumbs that were offered by a lady from the neighbourhood.
She told me that these geese chicks are already one week of age! So I gather this family is a very strong one as the parents have kept their offspring promising eggs very very warm while winter was here with the fortnight of deep frost and the layer of snow.
And then when the temps raised again above zero these chicks kicked off their eggshells! What happened round about February the 20th!! And here they go doing exactly like their parents, thus taking their best education.
