Never.....

....be in a hurry to take a photo, as I was today. This is my princess flower plant which is pretty amazing. I do not do it justice with this photo. I will do better next time.

Today was a super fun day! We were in the office working away when one of our employees say that someone was there looking for us. It turned out to be friends that we hadn't seen in a couple of years!! They have a hotel on the ocean about 2 hours north of us. We used to go stay there all the time when our kids were young. My husband and I had talked many times since being down here about going up to visit with them and catch up. But, they beat us to it and surprised us today!!! We ended up going to lunch. Chatted about their kids and ours, their business and ours, life in general....before we knew it, 2-1/2 hours had gone by. We could have visited all day and into the night!! But, they had to get back up north and we had to get back to work. Surprise visits from old friends makes me happy!

And, another great day at the store! :)

Tomorrow there is a big storm a brewin' so we need to batten down the hatches!!
(This term originated in the navy, where it signified preparing for a storm by fastening down canvas over doorways and hatches (openings) with strips of wood called battens. [Late 1800s])
