New skill day 2

I managed to produce several balls of twisty, lumpy yarn yesterday. It will work fine for my project but I shall have to practice more before I begin on the fabulous stuff I bought at unravel on Saturday.

I wonder whether it was hard to work because the wool was old and matted. I had to draw it out into a long filmy worm then spin, it was too stiff to draw and spin at the same time. The bottle green yarn broke into 2" lengths as I tried to tease it out - I know how I will use it but I don't think it will spin.
