Watch Tower

This is the last remaining Watch Tower in Edinburgh (situated within St Cuthbert's RC Churchyard) which was used to prevent grave robbing. The church was built in 1889.
Unfortunately there is no date on the Watch Tower.

Having walked around the graveyard today I found some earlier headstones dated 1713.
There must have been a church on this site before 1889.
