Stone Bench. Bruntsfield

This stone bench sits in the middle of Bruntsfield links in Edinburgh. I remember the bench from when I was very young and we lived nearby. The Links were a popular play area and the bench was sometimes the centrepiece in a game. At the time I thought it was an ancient piece - Viking or Roman perhaps. Of course if I had gone to the trouble of reading the inscription I would have known that it was erected in the 1930's.
