Crowned Head

One of two colossal Father Thames carved heads, situated either side of the south-facing entrance to Hammersmith Town Hall.

It can't be a coincidence that they were placed on the side of the building facing the River Thames. It's only a few hundred yards away but unfortunately since then the A4 has grown in size, and the regular traffic is probably spoiling their riverside view.
