Waste Not

Waste Not is an installation at the Barbican centre comprising over 10,000 used objects hoarded by the Chinese artist Song Dong's mother between 1950-2002.

Visited at lunchtime. So much useless and unbeautiful stuff. The most lasting impression was that it didn't even seem particularly Chinese. We only saw one bamboo thing. Ugly plastic has taken over the whole world.
