Bigger is better

On the mean streets of Phnom Penh, one rule applies: get out of the way of anything bigger than you as it will just plough on through if you don't.

Brushes with maiming are commonplace; the only saving grace is that traffic is usually travelling so slowly, you would get away with one broken limb instead of four.

Not wishing to generalise but shiny 4x4s are driven even more arrogantly because they are often the product of riches gained through corrupt practices. Someone was shot in the bum not so long ago because he dared to challenge someone who'd cut him up on the road. And we thought road rage was bad in the UK.
