Roe deer

On the fell with the dogs and had just torn myself away from the ponies when 2 roe deer came running across the fields and jumped the fence into the fell. Missed the first one but caught this fellow - not very sharp - but hey - he was moving fast!!

I heard a programme saying deer were overrunning the south of England and driving the birds out of the woods. Well up here I often see one of two of them about and they are still a joy to see.
