Small Pockets in Space

Thomas Prime - Spirited Beginnings (Nujabes Tribute)

Before living here, I had never even heard of Toyota city. Perhaps not many other people have either. However, it's home to one of the biggest companies in the world that have made jobs for millions of people. It's also home to a huge world class stadium that today had a massive World Cup Qualifier Soccer match for the Japanese National Team, Samurai Blue (who unfortunately lost today). On any regular day, it looks like an ordinary Japanese city, bar a few places that characterise its spirit (if you choose to look hard enough), but on the special days, it's packed to the brim with people celebrating soccer, concerts, festivals (come for the Oiden Festival during Obon, the summer holidays) and it goes nuts. The life comes out of seemingly no where. Such wonderous things in everyday life are often ignored, and the beauty is simply right in front of you, if you choose to see it (and if the timing is right).

Coupled with the idea that it's a leap year, the hidden day in certain years, it's that special time capsule that reveals itself for brief special moments.
