Haikography

E is for Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ringed with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls

The Eagle, Tennyson

Actually, this one isn't going anywhere, but he made me think of this poem. I love the last line .. the word thunderbolt gives the sense of the Eagle swooping down .... I was going to say its almost onomatopoeia, but I can't spell it.
